Industries we serve
Robots by industry
We set up robots for five kinds of work: corrections facilities, law enforcement agencies, security teams, schools, and manufacturing and industrial sites. The needs overlap more than you might expect, but no two sites are the same.
Every package starts with hardware from Unitree or AgileX Robotics, who manufacture the robots. Stokes Robotics is the secondary developer and integrator. We configure each robot for the job and the site before it ships, and we train your team to run it.
LIMO, SHEP, & Rise
Education
A robot turns a programming lesson into something students can watch happen. We set up classroom robots and pair them with curriculum and teacher training, from a team that has written STEM curriculum since 2005.
What these robots do
Students program a rover, a robot dog, or a humanoid, and see their code move it. LIMO runs ROS 2 with Python and C++, and all three classroom robots pair with the STEMBOTICS curriculum license.
Which robots fit
- LIMO: ROS 2 rover, with a four-robot Classroom Combo
- SHEP: robot dog, programmable in EDU and X configurations
- Rise: humanoid on the Unitree R1 EDU
- Scout Mini ROS2 Development Kit: for college courses and research labs
Bear and Bear-W
Corrections Facilities
Rounds, cell checks, and perimeter walks take officers away from other posts. CORAS® (Corrections Officer Robotic Assistant System) puts a quadruped robot on those routes, and your officers decide where it goes and what it checks.
What these robots do
Bear and Bear-W follow mapped routes with LiDAR navigation. Inspection configurations add thermal and 32× zoom cameras for dark yards and housing units, and Inspection C adds a robotic arm for a closer look.
Which robots fit
- Bear: legged, climbs stairs between tiers, and takes every configuration
- Bear-W: wheel-legged, for long perimeter roads and open yards
Aero and SIRAS
Security
A security patrol covers the same ground every shift: fence lines, loading docks, parking lots, and buildings after hours. Aero puts a robot on those routes and is the robot behind SIRAS (Security and Inspections Robotic Assistant System).
What these robots do
Every Aero carries a camera, lighting, a speaker, and a microphone. Pro configurations add SLAM navigation for mapped patrol routes, plus GPS and 4G for large outdoor sites.
Which robots fit
- Aero: legged, on the Unitree A2, for indoor routes and buildings with stairs
- Aero-W: wheel-legged, on the Unitree A2-W, for large outdoor sites
Production & inspection
Manufacturing and industrial
Plants and large sites run on work that repeats every shift: tasks at the same stations, the same inspection route, the same loads moved across the floor.
What these robots do
Humanoids work at stations sized for people. Quadrupeds carry thermal cameras, gas sensors, and navigation LiDAR on inspection rounds. AgileX wheeled and tracked platforms move loads of 25 to 300 kg.
Which robots fit
- Hank and GiGi: humanoids for production work
- Bear, SHEP, and SHEP-W: quadrupeds for inspection rounds
- AgileX mobile platforms: wheeled and tracked chassis for transport
SHEP and SHEP-W
Law enforcement
Some calls are better met with a camera first. SHEP gives officers a non-lethal robot they drive into a building, a vehicle, or a dark lot, so they can see, light up, and talk to what is there before anyone steps forward.
What these robots do
Live 1080p video on a screen controller with a 4G backup link. ENT Plus adds a 3000-lumen searchlight, warning lights, and voice broadcast, and ENT MTPTZ adds thermal imaging.
Which robots fit
- SHEP: legged, in ENT, ENT Plus, and ENT MTPTZ configurations
- SHEP-W: wheel-legged, for large scenes and long distances
What comes with every package
Set up for the job
Our secondary development configures each robot for its industry and task before it ships.
Training before and after the sale
Onsite and online training for the people who run the robot day to day.
Nationwide delivery
We deliver to facilities, agencies, schools, and sites across the country.
