About Stokes Robotics
Stokes Robotics is a family-owned robotics company based in Carl Junction, Missouri. We’ve spent more than twenty years in classrooms and more than a decade in robotics, and today we put robots to work for schools, law enforcement, corrections, industry, and events across the country.
Who we are
A secondary developer and integrator
We set up quadruped and humanoid robots for specific jobs. A school district gets a robot along with curriculum and training for the teachers who will use it. A police department, correctional facility, or manufacturing plant gets a robot fitted with the sensors and software its work calls for, plus training for the people who will run it.
As a distributor and secondary developer for Unitree and AgileX, we sell their robots and build on top of them. You get hardware from established robot makers, and when a job calls for more, Stokes Robotics adds the sensors, software, curriculum, and training to fit it.
Our mission
Put robots to work where they help people, save money, and fix problems.
Robots are at their best on the jobs that are dangerous, repetitive, or hard to staff, and they deliver the most when the people working alongside them are confident using them. That second part is where our background comes in.
Our founders have trained thousands of teachers over the years. We bring the same patient, hands-on approach to every officer, technician, and staff member who takes over one of our robots.
Our story
From classroom curriculum to secondary robotics development
Stokes started out writing science and math curriculum for schools. Robotics came in through the classroom and grew from there.
2005
We began writing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics curriculum for school districts.
2013
We added robotics curriculum and launched our first robotic line.
2021
We shifted our focus to customizable robotic solutions and expanded beyond education.
2023
We launched the Stokes Robotics name.
Today
Our robots are at work across the country, supported from our headquarters in Carl Junction, Missouri.

Straight Answers
Before you buy, you’ll have a clear picture of what the robot will handle and where your team comes in. Performance specs come from the manufacturer and we label them that way, so you always know where a number came from.
Training Built In
The teachers, officers, and technicians who run our robots are trained by people who have been teaching for twenty years. Your team will know how to use the robot on the day it arrives.
Built Around Your Job
Every package starts with what you need done. We choose the platform, sensors, and software to fit that job, and if a simpler setup will do it, we’ll recommend the simpler setup.

Meet our founders
Stokes Robotics is led by Robert and Lynnette Stokes, who have built the company together from its first curriculum unit.
Robert Stokes
Owner & President
Robert has spent his career in technology and science education. He has written scores of K-12 curriculum units, developed science education equipment, led training workshops, and trained thousands of science and technology teachers.
Recipient of the Technology Student Association’s Honorary Life: Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to technology and STEM education.
Lynnette Stokes
Co-Founder and CFO
Lynnette leads the financial and administrative side of the business. Since the company’s early years she has also written and edited curriculum and managed purchasing and shipping.
