Built on AgileX
AgileX Robotics distributor and secondary developer
AgileX Robotics builds the wheeled and tracked bases that mobile robots are made from. Add a LiDAR and a computer, and an AgileX chassis can map a building and find its own way around. Add a robotic arm, and it can pick things up.
As a nationwide distributor and secondary developer for AgileX, we turn these platforms into robots set up for the job, from our LIMO package for teaching ROS to transport robots for plants and job sites. Teams that develop in house can also buy the platforms as AgileX ships them.
About AgileX Robotics
AgileX was founded in 2016 with the chassis at the center of its business, along with the development kits, robotic arms, and mobile manipulators that go on top. The company reports working with more than 1,000 companies and more than 50 universities.
Made to carry your equipment
AgileX designs its platforms to be built on. The Scout Mini and Ranger support secondary development and external expansion, and the Bunker Pro has CAN and RS232 connections for wiring in your own systems.
Ready for ROS
The LIMO runs ROS, ROS 2, and Gazebo simulation, with SLAM and visual SLAM mapping, so students learn on the same open-source tools used across robotics research.
Covered for a year
Every AgileX chassis we sell, from the Scout Mini to the Titan, carries a one-year AgileX warranty.
AgileX platforms by drive type
How a robot drives decides where it can go. AgileX makes a platform for nearly every surface, from smooth plant floors to rough outdoor ground.
| Drive type | AgileX platform | Rated payload | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two-wheel differential | Tracer | 150 kg | Moving loads across smooth indoor floors on a base just 155 mm tall |
| Four-wheel independent | Scout Mini | 20 kg | Quick development work indoors and out at up to 10 km/h, with a 50 kg Mecanum-wheel version |
| Ackermann steering | Hunter SE | 50 kg | Outdoor routes, steering like a car at up to 4.8 m/s |
| Four-wheel steering | Ranger Mini 2.0, Ranger | 80 kg, 150 kg | Tight spaces, with four motion modes and hot-swappable batteries |
| Front and rear Ackermann | Titan | 300 kg | Heavy loads, with an electromagnetic parking brake and 120 mm of obstacle clearance |
| Tracked | Bunker Mini 2.0, Bunker, Bunker Pro | 25 to 120 kg | Rough and outdoor ground, with IP54 protection on the Bunker and IP67 on the Bunker Pro |

Turning a chassis into a robot
On its own, a chassis goes wherever the remote controller sends it. What turns it into a robot that works on its own is what gets mounted on top.
Navigation
AgileX’s R&D and ROS 2 kits add a computer and LiDAR to a Scout, Hunter, Tracer, or Bunker, so the robot can localize itself, build 3D maps, and steer around obstacles. The ROS 2 kits add a RealSense depth camera too. Our ROS 2 development kits come ready to start on.
Large-site mapping
For robots that need to cover a whole campus or yard, the NAVIS kit builds maps of up to 2 million square meters and navigates to within 3 to 5 cm.
Robotic arms
The Mobile Manipulator and Cobot S put a robotic arm, a gripper, LiDAR, and a depth camera on a tracked Bunker for manipulation research. The Mobile Manipulator adds SLAM path planning and object recognition.
A classroom robot
Our LIMO package builds on the AgileX LIMO for school robotics programs. With the Classroom Combo, four LIMO ROS 2 robots share a simulation table where students can test their code, for $28,000.
Where AgileX robots end up
You will find AgileX robots at work in three kinds of places.
Classrooms
LIMO teaches ROS, mapping, and navigation on a robot small enough for a desk, and it pairs well with our Unitree classroom robots.
Plants and job sites
Tracer, Ranger, and Titan move materials across a plant floor, while Bunker chassis handle yards and rough ground.
Research labs
Engineering teams build and test their own systems on Scout Mini ROS 2 kits, mobile manipulators, and bare chassis.
Buying AgileX robots from Stokes Robotics
An AgileX chassis is the starting point. We choose the platform that fits your job, add the navigation, sensors, and equipment it needs, and set it up before it ships, with training for the people who will run it.
A Stokes build on AgileX hardware
Our LIMO package arrives ready for classroom robotics programs. For larger jobs, tell us what the robot needs to carry, where it will drive, and what it should do on its own, and we will build it around the right platform.
The AgileX platform as it ships
If your team will develop on the robot in house, you can buy the chassis or kit exactly as AgileX builds it. Browse every mobile platform robot we carry.
Our work with AgileX robots
We started out in 2005 writing STEM curriculum for schools and have written robotics curriculum since 2013. AgileX platforms fit that background well. They are built to be programmed, and a student who learns mapping and navigation on a LIMO is working in ROS, the same open-source framework AgileX supports across its larger chassis.
We are a family-owned company in Carl Junction, Missouri, and we deliver nationwide. Whether it is a LIMO classroom set or a transport robot for a plant floor, a Stokes build arrives set up for its job, and we train the people who will run it.
